Primary Focus
Agriculture
Agriculture is central to our identity in rural Colorado. That's why we need to push back on policies that don't serve our communities and cut regulations that prevent our farmers and ranchers from doing their jobs. We must also ensure our public lands stay public and continue to protect our water rights!
2nd Ammendment
We need to uphold the constitutional right of law-abiding citizens to keep and bear arms. In HD54 and across Colorado, responsible gun ownership is a tradition and a necessity — for self-defense, hunting, and protecting our families. We must resist efforts to chip away at this fundamental freedom and stand strong for the rights guaranteed by the Constitution.
Education
Our kids deserve the best education possible! I believe in school choice and empowering parents to decide where their children learn. We need to get politics out of the classroom, ensuring a focus on core subjects, not divisive ideologies. Every school should be a safe learning environment where academic excellence is the standard, preparing students for absolute success.
Cost-of-living
Skyrocketing costs for groceries, gas, utilities, and insurance are crushing families. We need to cut wasteful spending, unleash free markets, and put money back in the taxpayer’s pockets. I believe it is essential for the government to get out of the way and bring back common sense so we can afford to live.
Energy
Our state must secure affordable and reliable energy by utilizing our diverse local resources. This includes maximizing oil, natural gas, nuclear, and hydropower, alongside investing in domestic energy solutions. By supporting a comprehensive energy portfolio, we can create jobs, lower costs for families, and ensure a strong, independent state economy.
Election Integrity
To ensure the integrity of our elections, we must prioritize in-person voting with a valid photo ID, guaranteeing our elections are free, fair, and secure. It is time to restore trust in our elections process. As Article 1, Section 4 of the U.S. Constitution states, states have the power to prescribe the 'Times, Places and Manner of holding Elections,' and we must use this authority to protect the sanctity of the vote.
Public Safety
We need to secure funding for Delta and Mesa sheriffs to crush rural crime and drug trafficking in District 54. There will be support for local law enforcement and strong penalties over Denver’s soft-on-crime policies. We must protect our communities with tough, Colorado-first safety measures, free from bureaucratic overreach.
Healthcare Access
Dismantle strenuous policies strangling rural clinics and deliver healthcare to District 54. Promote free-market competition to slash costs and provide tax breaks for underserved areas. Reject Denver’s government-controlled healthcare models to empower Western Slope families with choice and quality care.
